Lawrence S. Turtel, M.D.
Dr. Turtel, originally from Long Island, N.Y., received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna cum Laude, in history and science from Harvard University. After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, he interned at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. His ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center was followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Turtel is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Turtel is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
